The weather over the last few weeks has been phenomenal. We have been heading out directly after lunch to play in the sunshine often for an hour or more.
“Look Teacher Amanda, it’s a snail!”
This little snail was met with much excitement
and close examination!
Almost daily since his first visit we search for the snail and wonder where he could be. He hides in the garden most days but occasionally will come by for another visit much to the delight of all the kids!
Welcome to Queen Anne Kids Preschool
Queen Anne Kids is a small home based preschool taught by Amanda Van Dyck a K-8 certified teacher with over 11 years teaching for the Seattle School district and 4 years of preschool experience, located right on the top of Queen Anne Hill.
Classes run Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am-12pm for kids age 1-3.
Tuition is $14 hr. and Drop in $16 hr
We open our doors for the 2015 School year on Tuesday September 15th.
Morning Preschool Classes:
Bring your little one for a morning of play, songs, art and socializing. Conveniently located at the top of Queen Anne. Situated in our family’s grand craftsman home, my classes provide that comforting feeling of home that little ones need in their first preschool experience. Class sizes are small and I personally teach all classes myself. This provides each child with individualized attention as they develop socially, emotionally, and physically. Caregivers are always welcome to stay, but morning preschool classes are drop-off so that you have time to run errands, schedule a doctor appointment or simply go to the grocery store on your own!
You set your own schedule for the number of days per week that best fit your needs.
Drop-in spots are available. Just call 206-962-1978 between 8-9 am on the day you need to confirm a spot.
About Queen Anne Kids and Amanda Van Dyck:
I am passionate about early childhood education and committed to offering a wide range of quality experiences to kids in my care. My days are filled with singing and dancing, playing with play-dough and getting my fingers messy with paint. I have a current Washington State K-8 teacher certificate and have taught in Seattle Public Schools for 11 years, in addition to 4 years teaching pre-school. At Queen Anne Kids, I am a fully licensed in-home childcare provider. I have two wonderful children of my own and live, work and play at the top of Queen Anne.
